Do you think wireless carriers will begin selling and subsidizing laptops to rev up demand for their new high-speed networks?

Sprint's New Indirect Comp Plan

by Cellularman on May 26, 2008

Sprint will be cutting our comp package by over 25 30% beginning June 1st. To my understanding it looks like we now will subsidize around $90-$110 out of our commission for every phone that we sell. This is new to us seeing that Sprint or Nextel never had the dealer dip into the commission to cover part of the phone cost. Is this how other carriers structure their indirect comp packages? I would also like to get some feedback from other Sprint store owners on how you plan to adjust your sales strategies to deal with the new compensation.

Thanks

We just absorbed it my friend. Kind of like the 70% reduction in my CSA that I have absorbed over the past two years due to Sprint's ineptness to retain customers.

We have taken an almost unsustainable hit with this.

Luckily for us, they have closed underperforming dealers near us which has helped our total volume.
